Thanks to all those parents who have followed the parking lot rules. The flow of traffic, and the proper way to drop students off have improved greatly. Thanks for your safe driving as you try to navigate through our small parking lot. Remember to wave to Mr. Borchard every morning.

Please discuss with your child the proper steps to deal with a difficult situation on the playground. These steps include:
      1) Tell the person to stop what they are doing.
      2) Ignore what the is doing.
      3) Walk away from the person.
      4) Find something else to play.
      5) Tell an adult.
If your child follows these steps, many problems can be avoided on the playground.
Our school obtained a API score of 900 on last year's STAR test.

      Principal's Message

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. My name is Thomas Holtke and it is my pleasure to serve the students, families and community of Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School as Principal. I am very proud to be a part of the SRTMS Family and the Pleasant Valley School District.

I completed my undergraduate studies at San Diego State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. I have since furthered my education at California Lutheran University receiving a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration.

I have been in the profession of education for twelve years. I have taught at both the elementary and middle school levels: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th and 7th grades and served as Associated Student Body Advisor teaching leadership to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

I have lived in Ventura County for 31 years and currently reside in the city of Newbury Park with my family. I have been married to my wife and soul mate Kristin for eight years. We are the proud parents of two wonderful children: Carson (5) and Charlotte (2).

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, surfing, snowboarding, running and reading.

      Eagle Pride!
